Backwoods Windjammers -- A community band

Hey, world - we tried. We really did! When the address for the concert on Saturday turned out to be wrong, I 1) had youngest daughter, on the road, look for signs as she got closer to us, 2) called eldest daughter in Phoenix so she could google for MS walkathon or any related sites, 3) called three local radio stations to try to find the location, 4) asked a nice lady at a convenience store in the area if she knew anything about it, 5) threw a magic feather on the wind and prepared to follow it. No dice, on any account. It WAS nice to see the rest of the also lost green shirted windjammers in the parking lot of the school before we gave it up and all went home.

Happy birthday, new website. We're glad to have you to play with. Where will it all lead? I haven't a clue, but I've enjoyed wandering to the sites of some of the other community bands in the area. I'll use MY blog to ruminate on old horn players getting back in playing shape, the joys of playing silly/serious music, and anything else that comes to mind. Stay tuned, folks, and WELCOME!
